Stone dust is used to produce a very stable and impermeable granular base. It is most often used for compaction work, for example under interlocking pavers, for fence posts, for installing your spa, and to solidify the base of a shed.
Stone dust, or more commonly called "dust," is a product derived from crushed stone, with a diameter that can vary between 0 and 1/4 inch (0-5 mm). Typically, in structural work, "dust" is the final layer of your project. If it's well compacted, nothing will shift!
