Corn gluten works by absorbing the water necessary for new seeds, robbing weed seeds of their resources. In addition, corn gluten contains nitrogen, which is essential to help your existing turf thrive in areas where weeds might otherwise take hold.
For best results, apply before weeds emerge, typically in early spring and again in late summer or early fall.
Ideal for established perennial ryegrass and Kentucky bluegrass lawns. Since corn gluten works by dehydrating seeds, we recommend not using it on newly seeded lawns or when overseeding or laying sod.
