Crushed Stone 0 to ¾"
Crushed stone (0-3/4 inch) is used for the foundation of projects requiring compaction. The required thickness depends on the project type and soil type. For clay soil, a 16-inch thickness is recommended for a deck/patio, while for sandy soil, a 12-inch thickness is recommended.
Crushed stone 0-¾ is a mixture of stone dust and ¾-inch stone, with a diameter that can vary between 0 and ¾ inch (0-20 mm). Unlike clean 3/4-inch crushed stone, it has limited water penetration due to its compaction.
The 0¾ is the layer of rock that lies just below the stone dust when you make a granular foundation or a paved sidewalk.
